We are seeking to appoint a committed and passionate practitioner of Computing with ICT who is dedicated to providing an exciting and rewarding experience for all our students regardless of their academic ability. The successful candidate will be clearly in tune with our values and be able to offer Computing and ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4, where students move through clearly defined tasks aimed at developing skills with computers and handling information in a variety of forms. 

At Ernulf Academy, you can expect a supportive culture within an Academy with high aspirations on its improving journey. We value our staff and there are many development opportunities. All teachers receive an i-pad to assist with planning and communications. 

In liaison with Longsands Academy, the department offers access, and the ability to work with, humanoid robotics, Raspberry Pi technology, Cyber security/Gaming workshops at the FXP Games Festival, and schemes of work based around an annual excursion to Bletchley Park to study the birth of computers and the role of Cryptography in historical and modern societies.    

 This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher to join a committed and energetic Academy; we will consider applications from both newly qualified as well as experienced staff. We have a strong track record of supporting and retaining NQT’s and RQT’s by ensuring excellent mentoring and many opportunities for involvement in wider school activities.

Ernulf Academy is a non-denominational, mixed academy school for 11- to 16-year-olds. It is located in St Neots, and has a capacity of 1,274 students. 

Ernulf Academy is part of the St Neots Learning Partnership, which also includes another secondary school, Longsands Academy, plus the St Neots Sixth Form Centre. Many pupils wishing to continue their studies after 16 go on to the Sixth Form Centre. the schools work closely together to provide the best learning experience for the young people of St Neots.

Values and vision

The motto of Ernulf Academy is "aspire, challenge, excel". The school has high aspirations for pupils, and aims to challenge them to be the best they can be. Teachers emphasise the importance of attendance, punctuality and mutual respect.

Ernulf Academy became one of the first specialist performing arts colleges in Cambridgeshire in 2004, with a particular focus on dance, drama and music.
