St John’s RC Academy’s success is built on respectful relationships, strong partnership working, a culture of self-evaluation for improvement and effective leadership at all levels. The school offers a wide range of excellent learning experiences for children and young people and achievement is significantly improving across the school year-on-year.
As a Catholic school, the school’s vision and values are rooted in the Gospel. St John’s RC Academy is also a Fairtrade School and the first all-through school in the UK to achieve UNICEF’s Rights Respecting Schools Level 2 Award.
You will be an appropriately qualified and experienced Teacher of Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Well-being, who will join the Support for Learning department, to work in collaboration with the school coordinators of Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Well being, and you will have relevant knowledge and experience of a wide variety of positive behaviour management strategies.
Additionally, it would be desirable to have a professional qualification or appropriate experience in relation to behaviour management strategies and the promotion of well being, including mental health.
