Candidate profile
The teacher will be mainly employed in the subject delivery of Mandarin as reasonably directed, across all phases of the school.
The successful candidate will support the Director of Mandarin and play a key role in the development of the subject at Harrow International School Shanghai.
Essential
Experience teaching Mandarin, preferably in an international school or equivalent setting.
Experience teaching native students with a relevant qualification related to Chinese studies.

Department Profile
Mandarin is a core subject for all student s up to Year 9 and an option at IGCSE as well as AS/A level: currently following the CIE specifications at IGCSE and Edexcel at AS/A level. This is the largest department in the school delivering significant lesson time to students from Year 1 upwards.

Harrow School Shanghai is a co-educational day school for students aged from 18 months to 18 years. The teaching is based upon the EYFS Framework and the English National Curriculum, culminating in IGCSEs for Years 10 and 11 and A levels within the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13).
