Job overview

The Billericay School is a heavily oversubscribed comprehensive in Essex with a specialism in Mathematics and Computing. The school has polite and engaged students who want to learn and benefits from good parental support.

We seek to appoint an exceptional classroom teacher of Mathematics to work alongside a friendly, supportive and committed faculty.  A recruitment allowance may be available for suitable candidate.  For a successful NQT, an Early Start scheme from 2 July, which includes payments across the summer holidays and a well-established induction package, will be available.

This well-resourced and successful department is made up of 13 members of staff, including the Head of Faculty, a Lead Practitioner and key stage coordinators, and provides a supportive environment for the prospective post-holder. There are 11 dedicated Mathematics classrooms, including a Mathematics ICT suite of 30 computers. Mathematics classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards. With a sixth form of over 300 students, there will be an opportunity to teach KS5 in the first year for the appropriately qualified candidate.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, mathematician and teacher with ambitions to progress. We are interested to hear from both NQTs and experienced teachers.

With direct links to the Billericay Educational Consortium, Billericay School is renowned for the high standards of CPD it delivers, as well as the collaborative and supportive ethos it promotes amongst staff.

We welcome prospective applicants to come and see the school in action. Please get in touch by email or phone if you would like to visit prior to application.
