This post would be ideal for a recently qualified teacher.
Wellfield is a highly successful comprehensive school, for pupils aged 11-16 and achieved its second Ofsted ‘Good’ judgement in June 2018. The Mathematics Department consistently performs above local and national expectations. Our Progress 8 Maths score is amongst the highest in the county. You will be joining a very strong team. The school has been developing Maths Mastery (Singapore maths) for the last three years and is part of the Arc partnership.
An £8.5million refurbishment was completed in the summer of 2014, resulting in an excellent learning environment offering state of the art facilities. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We benefit from a Beacon Nursery in the village.
