Teacher of Mathematics
Part Time Position from September 2019
King’s Bruton is an HMC co-educational boarding and day school of 350 pupils aged 13-18.
An inspirational and suitably-qualified teacher of Mathematics is required to join this very successful department from September 2019. The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher with either a specialist or Mathematics-related degree.
This is an opportunity for a passionate Mathematics teacher to make a genuine difference in the Maths department and to the progress of pupils. The successful applicant will teach GCSE Mathematics to pupils on a 1-1/ small group basis and if required, teach a single lower school Maths group. It is anticipated that this position well help further strengthen the excellent teaching that pupils receive and the programme of additional support that we have in place at GCSE.
At KS4 Mathematics forms part of the core curriculum, where pupils follow the Edexcel IGCSE specification.
The role would suit a recently qualified teacher, or someone with more classroom experience who would enjoy the challenge of joining a dynamic and successful department. It is anticipated that this part time position will be approximately 15-20 hours/ fortnight.
