SILS is a PRU / alternative education school for learners aged 11-16 years. As a ‘Good School’ (Ofsted, 2012 & 2015) all our staff are committed to achieving the best outcomes for our learners.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of Mathematics with experience of raising attainment at secondary level to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a graduate with Qualified Teacher Status and one with a proven track record of achieving high academic standards in a mainstream setting.
As the position involves leading the teaching of Mathematics at key stage 4, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of a curriculum that will engage and deliver exceptional GCSE outcomes for our learners.
Experience of successful work with students with a range of additional needs and diverse academic abilities is essential. As well as, the willingness to lead and deliver sessions to narrow gaps in attainment out of hours.
Although the vacancy is based at key stage 4, interested applicants must be willing to work effectively across our two school sites (Porlock Street SE1 and Davey Street SE15 6LF)
