Manchester Secondary PRU is seeking to appoint a fully qualified outstanding, motivated, creative, and inspirational Teacher who is passionate about improving the life chances of pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from secondary education. You will be able to teach either Maths or Science and will initially be based at our Key Stage 3 centre in Longsight. The ability to deliver lessons in another subject to support our new Personal Development curriculum, will also be a distinct advantage.
Experience of working with the most complex of pupil needs is essential, as is experience of delivering an outstanding curriculum. Our vision is ambitious and will require a tenacious and resilient individual as we move towards larger, all through year 7 – 11 sites, which will be a significant change to the way the Secondary PRU has operated over previous years.
You will join a strong, supportive team in which you will be part of the operational delivery of an exciting programme to students across the city. Many of our pupils are vulnerable and have complex needs. We work with parents, carers and a range of agencies and stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for them. Effective partnerships with High Schools and Academies are critical to achieving good and better progress for our students.
