Values and vision

Staff at Tiverton High School believe education is the greatest gift we can give our children. With it our sons and daughters can make their way in the world and look forward to a full and fulfilled life. The school strives for students feel comfortable and ‘at home’. All staff, teachers and valued support staff are committed to the school and the community.

The Outdoor Education programmes at Tiverton High School give students the opportunities to experience success in areas outside of the traditional curriculum. Outdoor and adventurous activities frequently require students to work collaboratively – not only for their own personal success, but also for their own comfort and safety. Putting students in situations which necessitate them working with, and relying upon others requires them to develop social awareness, skills and appreciation of others.

Ofsted

“The whole school focus on raising aspirations and improving learning skills is having a positive impact on achievement. Students are increasingly keen to do well in their learning. They have positive attitudes to their activities and this is helping them to make good progress. They are usually punctual to lessons and try hard to complete their work. Most do not disrupt the learning of others.”
