Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with GTCS Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

In line with section 21(2A) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 the successful candidate for this post will require RC Approval.

Background:

Saint Andrew`s RC Secondary is situated in the Carntyne area of Glasgow`s thriving east end. The school is now three years old and is one of the best resourced in the city. The combination of community and educational cooperation is strongly developed in St Andrew`s RC Secondary and is evident in our excellent record of exam success. Our anticipated intake for 2007/2008: 330 pupils and for 2008/2009: 330 pupils and for 2009/2010: 330 pupils. Our school presently caters for around 1550 students, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum with examination expectations and actual performance in all subjects high.
