UAK is situated just 10 miles from Bradford city centre and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. We are experiencing times of change and are excited by what the future holds for all our staff, students and the community in which we serve. UAK has not been without challenge over the last few years but benefits from a staff team who are absolutely committed to getting the best from all our young people. The Acting Principal and the academy leadership team are relentless in their efforts to ensure UAK moves rapidly to becoming a ‘good’ and then ‘outstanding’ academy and to ensure we are the number one choice for the families in our community. Our sponsor, Bradford University offers a real opportunity for our students to progress in to higher education and provides that critical link to enable all our students to aspire to develop a life-long love of learning. The university has an ‘exciting strategy and plan’ to support the progress of UAK alongside our external partners who are adding further capacity to strengthen teaching and learning at all levels and abilities.
