About Us

The academy opened in September 2012 and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust. It is a smaller than average secondary school with 485 students currently on roll in key stages 3 and 4 and 35 students in our satellite sixth form. We have a PAN of 94. While not one of the Grammar schools in Lincolnshire, it is a bilateral school, so we have both students who have passed the 11+ examination and those who haven’t.

The academy is currently attracting students from a wide catchment area from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as Boston, Alford and Louth.

The proportion of students who are disadvantaged (37%) and the proportion of students with SEND (28%) is above the national average. The proportion of students with an education, health and care plan is below average (3%).

As part of the David Ross Education Trust, the academy offers a wide range of sporting, cultural and residential enrichment opportunities.

We have a strong sense of purpose and are fervently committed to the achievement of every individual. We aim to provide a high-quality education in a safe, happy, caring and focused environment. We encourage all students to embody our values of ambition and aspiration, courage and resilience and honesty and respect. We are intent on developing a love of learning amongst our students, offering them a broad and balanced curriculum, enhanced by a range of enrichment activities designed to support their personal growth.
