Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to take up your first teaching post or are you an experienced Maths Teacher looking for a new challenge in a new school? The Governors of this school are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of Maths who has the ability to achieve excellent results. They are looking for a dynamic, inspiring and forward thinking strategic teacher who is passionate about Maths and can motivate students to strive for excellence and could be instrumental in making a difference to our student’s education.    The Barlow RC High School is an excellent place to work!

We have a strong record of achievement leading in recent years to a number of curriculum awards. The school building has recently benefited from an investment of £11.2 million creating a new high-specification science block, lecture theatre, sports hall, ICT suites, astro-turf pitch and reception area. The English, Maths, Art and Design Technology departments were all remodeled, creating an environment that is both purposeful and inspiring.    

You will be located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.   

You will be required to teach across all ability sets and year groups up to and including GCSE level and will make a key contribution to driving up standards and attainment within the Faculty.       

You should:    

• Be a “Good” or “Outstanding” Maths practitioner;  

• Be passionate about your subject;  

• Have the adaptability to hit the ground running; 

 • Possess the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate students along with the ability to manage behaviour;  

• Play an active role within the school and the wider community;   

• Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative;

• Be supportive of the faculty drive to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
