We are seeking a talented and passionate Teacher of Maths who truly wishes to inspire our pupils to realise their goals.  Joining The Hundred of Hoo all-through academy will enable you to work with like-minded colleagues who share your goals and ambitions.  With the recent merger of The Williamson Trust and Leigh Academies Trust, we can offer opportunities like no other MAT when it comes to opportunities for promotion and professional development.  Whether you are new to the teaching profession or experienced, you will contribute to leading and shaping the vision and future of our school and wider Trust.  Based on the successful candidate's experience, we have scope to offer a TLR which can be discussed during the selection process.

So what makes us different at The Hundred of Hoo Academy?  It is how we translate our culture, vision and values into every action every day, where you can see staff and pupils role modelling high expectations.  We want our teachers to concentrate on what they do best – teach.  To achieve this we have clear, consistent behaviour systems and every teacher has their own classroom.  Our teachers plan the curriculum together allowing them to share expertise as well as the workload.  We also provide an array of professional development programmes for our staff including NQTs, middle and senior leader programmes.

If you wish to discuss any aspect of this vacancy or arrange a visit to the academy, please contact Mrs Hoad, HR Assistant on 01634 251443 / hr@wtrust.co.uk.  Come and absorb the atmosphere, see the interactions between staff and pupils and take in the experience that we can offer.  Come and talk to the people who truly understand what it means to be part of this vibrant and exciting community dedicated to educating the children in our care.

Working with our academy:  In September 2011, The Hundred of Hoo converted to academy status and became a member of The Williamson Trust.  Just one year later, Ofsted judged the academy as “good with outstanding features” recognising the relentless focus and ambition that we have.  In September 2015 the academy welcomed its first Reception class thereby extending its age range to 4-year-old children.  This exciting provision demonstrates the academy’s sense of ambition to serve the community where pupils’ academic journey represents a cradle to university principle.

We are delighted to announce that following a recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018 the academy has been judged 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features in terms of our early years provision and effectiveness of leadership and management.

Working with Leigh Academies Trust:  As of 1st January 2019, our Trust is comprised of 23 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 11 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open in September 2020.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

As part of Leigh Academies Trust you will have ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers both within the academy and across the whole Trust.  This is an important part of our vision as we know through experience that we perform better when we work together.  You are supported to undertake regular self-development to continue your professional development and hopefully progress further within the organisation.

We strive to offer a range of benefits that all employees can take advantage of which we regularly review and add to - click here to view what you’d receive as a member of staff with Leigh Academies Trust.
