An exciting opportunity has arisen at Winterton Community Academy!
Now working in partnership with Baysgarth School, Winterton Community Academy is a small but successful secondary with huge potential. Perfectly situated between the urban centres of Hull and Scunthorpe, Winterton is a strong community with the desire and ambition to become an outstanding school.
We are looking for a Maths Teacher to work in our close-knit team of dedicated professionals. The Maths Department has developed a reputation for collaboration, sharing best practice and going the extra mile to support our students and we seek a teacher with similar values who puts students first.
The Executive Headteacher has many years’ experience of transforming outcomes in a number of secondary schools and at the heart of his vision is creating and developing close-knit teams, focused on collaboration, mutual support and risk-taking. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their commitment to the core principles and values of ambition, fairness, consistency, rigour and putting students first.
We wish to appoint a colleague who:
- enjoys working with young people and has the flair, energy and ability to bring the best out of them;
- has the ability, vision, drive and skills to deliver outstanding outcomes at all key stages;
- is, or has the potential to be, an outstanding teacher.
Winterton Community Academy is popular locally, and we have many students from outside of catchment. Our experienced staff ensure that students play an essential role in our development and we strive to ensure that they all achieve the best possible outcomes.
In the most recent Ofsted report the school was judged as good, and through our partnership with Baysgarth we are looking to move rapidly towards outstanding. This is a fantastic time to join the school on its journey and be part of a positive culture and ethos that will ensure excellent outcomes for all students.
Winterton Community Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we would like to hear from you. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the post, please feel free to contact the Executive Headteacher, Richard Briggs, at the school.
Application forms and further details can be found on the Winterton Community Academy website www.wintertoncommunityacademy.co.uk or from the Head Teacher’s P.A. Mrs Jackie Slowen Tel: 01724 737002.
