Job overview

We seek to appoint an outstanding, inspiring classroom practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, confident and innovative teacher of French to join an enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive Academy. They must be passionate about teaching French and be able to enthuse and motivate students to fulfil the very highest expectations we place upon them. Applicants should have a passion for languages with the skills, commitment and enthusiasm to support the continued development of both the department and the school.

Students joining Oasis Academy Immingham have the opportunity to study French at KS3, with the majority of students then going on to study this at KS4 as part of the English Baccalaureate. Our department comprises a suite of well-designed and well equipped rooms, where children learn in a caring, supportive and enriching environment.

Oasis Academy Immingham is a good school in which to teach. With a positive learning environment and an aspirational culture, the best thing about our school is our students.

The Academy is a bright, modern build in the heart of the Immingham community. With easy, traffic free access, we attract staff from across the Humberside and Lincolnshire region. It is a school where staff are proud of their achievements and it is a school that becomes a part of you. For many, once you have worked at Oasis Immingham it is hard to leave.

In terms of outcomes, we have improved consistently over a five year period, narrowing the gap significantly and we now compare favourably with national average across all key measures. This is a great achievement, from below average starting points. Ofsted visited in May 2016, the Academy was graded ‘Good’ in all areas.

To work at Oasis Academy Immingham you must believe that every child can succeed, whatever the circumstances. You must be committed to go the extra mile to ensure this happens and you must display a genuine love for working with young people and giving them the best start in life. You will display a passion for teaching and an understanding of how people learn whilst demonstrating the commitment and belief that you have what it takes to become an outstanding teacher.

“Oasis Community Learning Trust, governors and the principal share a common, high level of ambition for pupils to thrive in the school. Pupils make increasingly good progress from their starting points. Good teaching and the carefully planned curriculum enable pupils to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding they need across a range of subjects....
