Sacred Heart Catholic Secondary School, Camberwell

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish with French)

At Sacred Heart School, MFL has a prominent place in the school curriculum and the majority of pupils sit at least one Modern Foreign Language at GCSE. The school is a multilingual community in which the importance of MFL is recognised by staff, students and parents.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed teacher who can deliver outstanding lessons. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 and ideally KS5. The ability to teach French to KS4 is also desirable. The post is equally suited to an experienced classroom teacher or an NQT, who is looking to join a successful and experienced team where standards are high and we strive for excellence.

Sacred Heart is an outstanding and oversubscribed 11-18 school. We consistently achieve outstanding academic results in every subject area, well above local and national averages. As a Catholic school, we have very strong moral values and a traditional approach to behaviour and discipline. As a result, our students are well motivated, eager to learn and behaviour in the school is excellent. This opening therefore offers applicants an exciting opportunity to join a strong department in an outstanding school.
