Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated & enthusiastic teacher with ambition to join the MFL Team at Saint Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Academy. The successful candidate will support the Curriculum Leader and will be key to raising the aspirations and achievement of our pupils. You should have a passion and ambition to develop as a teacher and be able to teach French and Spanish up to and including Key Stage 4. The post would suit ECTs as well as experienced teachers. A creative & dynamic approach to teaching and an ability to enthuse others would be highly valued. 

The Pope Francis Catholic Multi Academy Trust has been established by the Archbishop of Liverpool to provide the very best Catholic education for the young people in our schools and is supported by the Archdiocese of Liverpool Secondary School Improvement Trust (ALSSIT). Pope Francis Catholic Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding, to promoting the welfare of children and adhering to the Equality Act 2010. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. To comply with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 all prospective employees will be required to supply evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.

The Academy has been designated by the Secretary of State as a school with a religious character. Its Instrument of Government states that it is part of the Catholic Church and is to be conducted as a Catholic school in accordance with Canon Law, the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Trust Deed of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. At all times the school is to serve as a witness to the Catholic Faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. 

This appointment is with the governors of the Academy under the terms of the Catholic Education Service contract signed with the governors as employers.
