Job overview
We are looking for enthusiastic teachers who are committed to excellence and ready to work in a dynamic part of Scotland to deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school in relation to pupils, staff and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the Local Negotiating Committee for Teachers and the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
This post requires a Disclosure Check and where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check. You will be required to provide this check.
A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

About Mintlaw Academy
Mintlaw Academy lies in the heart of Buchan in North East Aberdeenshire, 30 miles North of Aberdeen.
The school opened in 1981 and with a capacity of 1,000 serves the rural communities of Central Buchan and draws pupils from the villages of Mintlaw, Fetterangus, Longside, Maud, New Deer, New Pitsligo, Strichen and Stuartfield and the surrounding area.
Mintlaw Academy is very well equipped with extensive learning resources, a high quality and extensive computer network, good practical areas and extensive sports facilities including an all-weather pitch. The school also has a wide range of extra-curricular activities available to pupils.
