We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic full-time Teacher of Music and Drama to join these very successful departments. Hollyfield acknowledges the importance of the arts in developing young minds, and the school offers a Scholarship programme where one class in each year receives additional Music and Drama lessons each week. The Music Department is very successful at GCSE and A-Level and offers both Music and Music Technology. The Department has a range of extra curricular ensembles including three choirs, Swing band and orchestra. The Drama department also has a history of excellence in examinations and performance. Our school's theatre company, Ilex, has performed at The Lyric, Hammersmith, the Donmar Warehouse and at The National Theatre, as winners of the annual Connections festival.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching.
Hollyfield is a beautiful school set in the Surbiton area of Surrey with excellent transport links to central London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. We are an ambitious school that puts student achievement and wellbeing at its heart.
In April 2016 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’ -‘The provision for pupils’ personal development is outstanding.’ Since then we have worked hard to continue to develop our high standards.
We are part of the Every Child, Every Day Multi Academy Trust and consequently, have further developed our extremely strong working relationship with Grey Court School (an Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ school). We are very excited about the future and the opportunities the MAT will bring.
