This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, passionate ambitious Teacher of Music to join a growing department in delivering high quality Music lessons across years 7-11.  The possibility of A Level teaching may also be available. 

Perryfields is a successful 11-19 school, which is oversubscribed, having an excellent record for both academic excellence and strong pastoral care.  The successful candidate would benefit from a through professional development programme and strong support for the senior leadership team. 

Music at the school is taught by two full time members of staff including the head of department. Students are encouraged to perform and lessons are available to all covering most instruments. The department currently offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including an orchestra, brass band, choir, jazz group and string ensemble. 

The ideal teacher for this role will have a real passion for music; they will hold a valid teaching qualification and have a history of outstanding classroom practice. The ability to motivate students of all abilities is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or an established teacher.  All NQT’s are supported by a detailed induction programme.
