Values and vision
Wakefield Girls' High School strives to create a stimulating and challenging environment and a culture of high expectation. It encourages both initiative and team commitment, develops self-esteem and confidence, and places equal value on the academic and pastoral care of girls. The school runs a peer-mentoring system with Samaritans training, offering support to younger girls in the school.
By instilling intellectual curiosity, aspiration and a love of learning, the school aims to enable each girl to achieve her full academic potential, breaking through the “glass ceiling” by being creative, brave, taking risks and rising to challenges. Participation and contribution are highly valued.
