Oasis Academy Leesbrook is seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate and driven Teacher of PE & Wellbeing.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop in an Academy that has just recently opened and is a part of the Oasis family. The Academy is currently based in temporary accommodation (a state of the art, purpose built property on Middleton Road) and will move to our permanent home in September 2020, located just off Lees Road. We have just over 220 children on roll and expect to welcome another 150 Year 7 students in September 2019.

The Teacher of PE & Wellbeing will work with a small and growing team of staff, ensuring that students receive an excellent educational experience in PE right from the start. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible and committed to ensuring that this school provides the very best opportunities for every single student.  It is desirable that the successful candidate can also teach another subject, ideally Mathematics.  This role is essential is the development of the school as it grows in size, year on year, to eventually house 1500 students. 

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent classroom practice with secure evidence of good and outstanding teaching

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion to inspire students to engage with physical education

• The commitment to ensure that as many students as possible are engaged in a range of physical activities both in school and as part of an extensive extra-curricular programme
