We are looking for an excellent Teacher of Physical Education with a passion for sport. The post will suit a well-qualified graduate, committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for every pupil. Physical Education is a popular and successful subject at Woldingham. The department consists of a team of highly committed teachers and coaches who work with a focus on independent learning. There is a culture of sharing resources and ideas.
Girls show a strong commitment to Sport and Physical Education at Woldingham. Our facilities and resources for teaching Physical Education are very good; there is an indoor sports hall, swimming pool, all weather pitches, dance studio, fitness suite and a large sports field.
Physical Education is taught to all girls in the school from Year 7 to Upper Sixth. Girls are also offered GCSE (Edexcel) and A Level (AQA) Physical Education, as well as the opportunity to complete the HSLA in the Lower Sixth. The ability to offer teaching of academic PE would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the HSLA.
Woldingham is a happy and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18 and is firmly established as one of the top girls’ independent schools in the UK, outperforming many schools that are far more selective in their admissions process. Close to London, yet in an outstandingly beautiful rural setting, Woldingham has a strong community and culture building on a proud heritage that stretches back 175 years. We are committed to an exciting future that is underpinned by fresh ideas, an innovative spirit and state-of-the-art facilities.
