Alleyn’s is a thriving, co-educational, HMC independent day school in Dulwich, South East London with a separate IAPS Junior School on the same 30-acre site. The School has around 1000 pupils overall, including a large and dynamic Sixth Form, the majority of whom go on to first-class universities in the UK and overseas.
We are looking to appoint an excellent, committed, dynamic and well-qualified temporary part-time teacher of Philosophy. It would be 0.4 FTE over 3 days for one term to cover sabbatical leave, from Monday 16 April 2018 until Thursday 5 July 2018.
The Philosophy Department is dynamic and our pupils achieve great results (100% A*/A at A Level in 2017), with some going on to read Philosophy or related courses at top universities. There are four members of staff who teach the A Level using the AQA syllabus.
We have our own competitive salary scale and accommodation may be available.
If you wish to apply, an application pack is available using the links below or on our website (www.alleyns.org.uk/vacancies). Our application form will need to be completed, together with the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form, and we also require a CV and covering letter.
