Tes is supporting the appointment of an engaging and passionate teacher to deliver Sport and PE to highly motivated girls in Key Stages 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Sport, health, fitness and physical education are a highly regarded and important part of the school's core curriculum, with high uptake for the subjects at GCSE and A Level.

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach academic PE at both GCSE and A Level, creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration. They must also be able to teach and coach practical PE and Games sessions across the Prep and Senior age range (from age 3-18) and be willing to contribute fully and proactively to the comprehensive extracurricular sports programme. Core sports at the school are hockey, netball and cricket, alongside swimming, but they also offer football, gymnastics, trampolining, tennis, badminton, table tennis, and athletics.

This role would be ideally suited to an experienced teacher, but could also suit a highly capable ECT, who is looking to join a supportive department and faculty, with superb ECT provision for professional development.

About the School

This is an academically selective independent day school for 850 girls with an age range of 3 to 18 years. They are situated on a green and leafy site in central Sutton, close to excellent public transport links and major roads. Both Senior and Prep Schools are amongst the top schools in the country, with GCSE results placing them 63rd in national rankings in 2022.
