“In the top 5% of schools nationally” DfE March 2017
“A mature and harmonious learning environment.” Ofsted, November 2015
Required for September 2018
TEACHER OF PHYSICS
(Applications also considered from Chemists or Biologists)
Salary includes outer fringe allowance.
The Science Department enjoys excellent facilities with purpose built labs and excellent ICT facilities. Physics GCSE and A Level form a substantial part of Physics teachers’ timetables. Results are excellent with GCSE results that are consistently significantly positive both in terms of attainment and progress.
While our preference is to appoint a specialist Physicist, we have the flexibility to appoint a Chemist or Biologist and ensure they also have the opportunity to teach their specialism at GCSE and A Level.
This role offers excellent scope for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher – whether experienced or an NQT - to work in a supportive, energetic and high-achieving school where students are making outstanding progress.
An excellent induction programme and July start is available for NQTs.
The school is located on the A10, a convenient distance from both London and Cambridge.
