Teacher of Primary (maternity cover)

An enthusiastic, dedicated and caring teacher is required to join the Year 1 team on a temporary maternity cover position from December 2019, likely to be for up to one year. The successful candidate will be willing and able to contribute to the life of a happy, popular and well-regarded school. We welcome applications from NQT, recently qualified and experienced teachers. 

Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils attending The Grammar School at Leeds are currently accommodated in Rose Court, Headingley although from September 2020 this section of the school will be relocated onto the main school site in Alwoodley.  Currently Rose Court consists of three Nursery classes, four Reception classes, four Year 1 classes and four Year 2 Classes, making a total of fifteen classes and around 300 pupils.  The class size is around twenty, each class having a teacher and a teaching assistant. Our current classrooms and teaching areas are an attractive blend of purpose-built and specially refurbished and our outdoor areas include a large playing field.

Children at Rose Court are highly motivated and love to learn.   They are supported by  a very close community of dedicated, hard-working staff and interested parents who want the best for the children in the school.  The school has excellent facilities and a wide range of resources as well as offering staff a rich programme of staff development.
