Job Description
Based in Rockwell Learning Centre, you will work full time, 35 hours per week. The post provides an excellent professional learning opportunity/experience for teachers to develop their skills and understanding of young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Requirements
You will be GTCS Registered (Primary), have knowledge of the relevant curriculum area and an awareness of the main current issues in Scottish education.
We are looking for a Primary qualified teacher, ideally with experience in supporting young people in an Autism, Nurture and/or an SEBN setting.
For existing Dundee City Council employees secondments will be considered. Head Teacher approval should be sought prior to applying for secondment.

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

You will demonstrate application and knowledge of the Curriculum and evidence of appropriate Professional Learning. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/ interpersonal skills and relate well to others.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
