Teacher of Psychology (maternity cover) For September 2018

Bishop Walsh is a great place to teach, where children enjoy learning. We believe in leading pupils to academic excellence, spiritual development and social awareness. 

Bishop Walsh Catholic School is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly qualified teacher to join an established Psychology Department. Psychology is both popular and successful with high numbers opting to study the subject at both AS and A level. There are currently 100 pupils in the sixth form studying psychology, making it the most popular subject in KS5. There are currently four teaching groups in both years 12 and 13. 

The post commences September 2018.

The school became part of The John Paul II Multi Academy Company with its Catholic partner primary schools on 1st January 2014.

Bishop Walsh Catholic School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. It converted to academy status in January 2014 and is supported by a multi-academy trust called John Paul II Multi-Academy, which sponsors four faith schools in the Midlands area. 

An average-sized secondary school, Bishop Walsh provides 1,067 places for students aged 11-18 when fully subscribed.
