Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate RE teacher.  Religious Studies is a core subject at the academy and has a responsibility to provide both an academic curriculum and spiritual guidance to all pupils and students across all key stages.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who will implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated Religious Studies curriculum for students and to support the Religious Studies curriculum area as appropriate.

Candidates should:

• be forward-thinking, with the ability to inspire students through their subject

• be willing to positively promote the Catholic Ethos of the academy

• be committed to raising standards of student attainment
