Carlton Bolling is an Outstanding school which has been on a rapid improvement journey over recent years, with results in 2017 within the top 5% of schools nationally. This progress was recognised by Ofsted who praised the “Highly aspirational vision for the school”.

Staff enjoy working at Carlton Bolling and are supported and encouraged to lead and develop practice “Pupils and staff are enthused and excited to excel. Pupils and staff work together within a harmonious community, where they are fully supported”: Ofsted, November 2017.

Although we are rated Outstanding, we are still moving forward at the same trajectory on our path to become one of the top 1% of schools in the country. If you share this vision, and are prepared to put in the effort to attain this goal, we would like to hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, innovative, and highly skilled Science Teacher who will motivate and excite young people, raising their expectations and turn students with promise into skilful learners. A candidate who also has the potential to inspire, support and motivate colleagues in raising attainment and is open to coaching and development if required in order to progress their career and practice.

The Science Faculty has consistently produced outstanding results. The ideal candidate will work relentlessly to improve and build on these results. The ability to develop strong Teaching and Learning strategies and ensure sustained improvements are a vital ingredient for this post. At KS4 students follow the AQA trilogy or separate science specification. We are committed to developing an investigative approach to learning, with engaging lessons that offer challenge to all.

This exciting opportunity will enable the successful candidate to develop an excellent foundation for future leadership roles.
