Teacher of Science - Biology to KS5 (1.0 FTE) with a possible TLR
The King's School is an outstanding 11-18 comprehensive school with excellent facilities, supportive parents, ambitious students and an extremely strong reputation for success. A commitment to the philosophy of "achievement for all" and a desire to work in an exciting, dynamic, creative and supportive way are essential for all staff at The King's School.
For September 2018 we wish to appoint a teacher of science to join a highly successful department. We are looking for a talented classroom practitioner, who can be creative, dynamic and can communicate their passion to all students and teach using a student centred approach. All classes are mixed ability, so the successful candidates will need to differentiate in order to support and stretch students. We are looking to appoint a teacher who can offer biology to KS5. A willingness to contribute to the delivery of A level psychology would be an advantage. For a suitably experienced candidate there is the opportunity of a becoming second in department, leading KS4 science.
Strong subject knowledge is obviously crucial but a commitment to the school's philosophy of "achievement for all", a passion for the subject and a desire to work in an innovative and supportive team are also vital.
Please contact Mrs Daly for further details or see our website and apply on line.
The closing date is midday 26th February with interviews the week of the 5th March. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of students so all staff are enhanced DBS checked.
