Salary: MPS/UPS plus Fringe allowance
Start Date: September 2019

“Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today” is the theme that runs through the work of both staff and students at The Misbourne. This is a good school with great students. We want each one of them to aspire to be the best they can be without any limitations and it’s important to us that our teachers feel the same.
We want you to apply if you are hungry to grow and learn yourself, have a keen interest in becoming the best teacher you can be, building effective relationships and transferring to students the same love for your subject that you yourself will have.
The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and well-led curriculum area. You will need to be able to teach all three sciences to GCSE and, as science is popular at A level, the ability to teach physics to A level is desirable but not essential. All our science team have dedicated labs and are well supported by three technicians.
All teachers have the opportunity to develop their own teaching and leadership qualities, through our own bespoke CPDL programme, following a relevant Masters course, NPQML/SL, SLE programme or off-site training of their own choosing through our bespoke professional learning programme. You will also have the opportunity to share good practice across Buckinghamshire, as we play a significant role within the Astra Teaching School Alliance and engage with teaching colleagues outside our four walls.
We are also part of the Canons Park Teaching School Alliance and through this partnership, we have a strong focus on education research to inform our practice and link closely with the Teacher Development Trust, NACE and SSAT to name but a few.
Our staff tell us they genuinely feel like part of a team; a team who are striving to help each student flourish both academically and personally. That’s important to us, if we are going to embody our moto of “developing tomorrow’s leaders today” and if you are our kind of teacher, it will be important to you too.
It’s an exciting time to join us as we embark upon a new school vision, in which you will play a key role. Our students and staff are keen to meet you and show off our fantastic school, so why not come and visit before you apply? This post would suit an NQT or a more experienced teacher and we very much welcome interested candidates to contact us to arrange an informal visit..
Please contact Hazel Baxter on 01273 729465 or email email@example.com to arrange a tour or if you would like to receive an application pack.
The closing date for applications is midday on Monday 18th March. We would consider an earlier start date for the right candidate. Please email your application to: firstname.lastname@example.org
