Job overview

Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is based in the historic market town of Chesterfield. We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a supportive culture of success and a positive climate for learning. OA Hasland Hall joined the Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) in 2021 and as a member of the Outwood Family we believe in putting Students First, raising standards and transforming lives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, driven professionals to join our Family of Schools as a Teacher of Science, with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential, as is a passion for Science. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First; Raising Standards and Transforming Lives’.

Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals.

The Outwood Grange Family of Schools offers:

  • The opportunity to work and progress across the Family of Schools
  • The chance to apply for leadership roles in the Deeps working across the whole Academy
  •  A full and detailed programme of support and development for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • A further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through the Outwood Institute of Education.

We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.

Subject to curriculum demand, we may require the successful candidate to take up a post in a neighbouring Outwood School until there is a suitable vacancy at Outwood Academy Hasland Hall.

Please note that CVs will not be accepted. If you have any queries regarding this post then please contact Molly Newman, HR Assistant Outwood Academy Hasland Hall , via email - m.newman@haslandhall.outwood.com
