At Holy Trinity our mission is to be a centre of excellence for learning inspired by Christian values where young people fulfil their potential.

We wish to appoint a dynamic and forward looking Science teacher to this successful Science department. We will consider applications from candidates across each of the science disciplines; however we are keen to secure an experienced Chemist to balance the knowledge base in the team. Candidates with salary expectations at the upper end of the range will need to evidence in their application and at interview how that might be merited, and how whole school requirements for upper threshold pay range will be met. Applicants must meet the criteria outlined.

For Easter 2018 we require:

• An excellent classroom practitioner

• Experience of teaching across the 11 – 16 range with evidence of the ability to teach A level

• Candidates who can demonstrate positive impact on learning and achievement in present post

• Candidates who can evidence positive contribution to a team

• Evidence of securing positive outcomes for students

In addition to teaching Chemistry, Biology and Physics to KS4, the successful candidate will ideally be able to teach their science specialism at KS5. There is an expectation that you may teach other subjects as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum should this be required. Relevant support will be offered.

Visits to the school are welcome and can be arranged via HR.

We offer:

• salary progression in line with our policy on pay and professional development

• engagement of all teaching staff in the TEEP programme to enhance our teaching and learning

• comprehensive induction programme

• coaching trios to share good practice

• a mentoring programme for NQTs

• an extensive programme of CPL

We support, empower and challenge staff to make a real difference in helping our young people achieve their potential. We have many examples of staff who have fast-tracked their career. The school is an easy commute via public transport from Brighton, and from other parts of East or West Sussex and from Surrey and many staff operate car share schemes.
