The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified teacher of Science to join our highly successful school. This is a permanent post, part time 0.5 FTE, with the possibility of some additional time by negotiation with the successful candidate.
The Science Faculty is a highly successful forward-looking faculty. Major responsibility is taken by the Faculty Leader supported by a Learning Leader at each Key Stage. The Science Department team currently consists of eight full time and two part time staff and in addition there is one full time and two part time Technicians. It is a very supportive faculty, with eight laboratories and a number of preparation rooms.
The Department has a successful Key Stage 3 curriculum and teaches both Combined Science and Separate Sciences at GCSE.
We are the lead school for the Black Country Science Learning Partnership supporting Primary and Secondary Schools across the region with high quality professional development opportunities. The successful candidate would have the benefit of attending a variety of CPD opportunities both in school and with our partners.
The successful candidate will be able to teach Science up to Key Stage 3 and possibly Key Stage 4.
