Vision For Education are recruiting on behalf of a thriving and an Ofsted 'Good' Rated 11-16 Secondary School based in , Manchester.

We are seeking a qualified teacher of Science who can teach the key stage 3 and key stage 4 curriculum. The school require an individual who has experience delivering, marking and assessing and that is happy to undertake these duties, the school are interested in both experienced teachers and NQT’s. 

The role would ideally suit an individual who is keen to secure a role in an established department and to work as part of a successful teaching team to maintain and increase pupil attainment. 

The school have an established and strong department which has helped gain positive results but also give pupils the chance to engage and enjoy the subject. The school are fully inclusive of new staff providing support and encouragement to promote the pupils opportunities but also help teachers perform to the best of their ability. 

Candidates must be able to fully commit to the full time role which commences January 2019 and is until Easter 2019.  

You will be responsible for;  

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons 
  • Assessment of pupils 
  • Report writing 
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support 
  • Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required 
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures 

To be considered for the position of Science Teacher you must:

  • Have experience teaching secondary education at KS3 and KS4.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Secondary Teachers
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
