Teacher of Science (TLR responsibilities are available)
Required for 1st September, 2022 as a permanent member of staff with TLR responsibilities available for a suitable candidate. Applications are also welcome from candidates who can only start from the 1st January, 2023.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teacher of science to join our excellent science department. Science is a very popular subject, results at both GCSE and A level are excellent with many students now opting to take A level and applied science.
This is a brilliant time to be joining our excellent school and we welcome applications from candidates who have an absolute commitment and passion for the profession. The vacancy is open to candidates with all levels of experience, from Early Career Teachers to very experienced teachers of science.

About Netherhall School
Netherhall School is a grant maintained, Local Authority, mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form, situated in Maryport, Cumbria. The school achieved its first ever rating of ‘Good’ from Ofsted in 2018, was named Cumbrian Secondary School of the Year later the same year, is host to the Cumbrian Secondary School Teacher of the Year and Cumbrian Secondary School Student of the Year. The school has a rapidly rising intake and the sixth form has over doubled in size in the past few years, with 720 students of age 11-18 currently on roll.
