The Academy is now recruiting for a Science Teacher.

Are you an outstanding, ambitious, inspirational science teacher? Would you like to be part of an organisation that consistently achieves academic outcomes in the top 10% nationally?

The successful applicant will be an integral part of a department that has performed consistently above national average in all examinations delivered. The department thrives on good humour and teamwork, delivering a knowledge rich curriculum in well-resourced classrooms with a student centred philosophy.

The successful applicant will be part of a team that has a variety of specialised teachers, all offering support and guidance to each other, which creates a positive and hardworking ethos. They are eager to access the most up to date research and always go above and beyond to ensure all students meet their potential.

Applicants are required to be driven, motivated and enthusiastic to deliver Science up to KS4.

At the Academy they are passionate about providing a traditional curriculum which not only develops life skills but prepares each student for adulthood and a successful career.

About the Academy

The Academy is an oversubscribed ‘outstanding’ academy located in an affluent area of North East Lincolnshire. As well as being an Ofsted graded outstanding academy, the Academy achieved ‘World Class Schools’ status in December 2019 and re-accredited in 2022. The Academy continues to deliver incredible opportunities to young people with a specific focus on STEM enrichment and favourable links to the apprenticeships industry as well as traditional route towards higher education.

The Academy has also been appointed as the Teaching School Hub for the local region which will allow all colleagues to access leading edge career professional development in order to enhance the standard of teaching as well as the opportunity to deliver CPD to colleagues locally in their profession. Furthermore, they are the hub school for the National Mathematics and Physics SCITT which means they have an important role of training Mathematic teachers for the future.

Providing their young people access to a world-class education and enrichment experiences is what drives them. Their students benefit from a wealth of opportunities to develop, learn and lead. From the classroom, to cultural visits, sports, music and arts and engaging with their local communities, the rich and varied experiences they create help fuel ambition and unlock potential. The education and experiences equip their young people with the leadership skills, team spirit, resilience and confidence to become outstanding citizens.
