The Science Department at Arthur Mellows Village College is looking for a new member of staff. We are a highly motivated, successful team who enjoy enabling students to be successful in Science. Full time members of staff are all based in their own classrooms which are equipped with interactive whiteboards and are well resourced with textbooks.
At Arthur Mellows Village College:
- Students are well behaved and keen to learn.
- Science is enjoyed by students and its importance is recognised.
- 75% of students gained a grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics last year.
- Science results at KS4 are strong, with a high take up rate into KS5.

Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014. Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn,
- 70% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 4 or above.
- Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.
- At A level over 29% of grades are A* or A.
- KS5 vocational students achieved over 65% at Distinction*/Distinction
