At St Benedict’s we value our teachers for their creativity, individuality, imagination and flair. We are a supportive team consisting of a mixture of full and part time staff who look out for each other and enjoy teaching, developing new skills as well as welcoming new initiatives.
The students at St Benedict's are motivated, thirsty for knowledge and job satisfaction is high. Our school has a caring atmosphere amongst both staff and students with a very strong partnership between parents, teachers and students.
We are looking for a Physicist to teach across all Key Stages. At Key Stage 3 we loosely follow Exploring Science and encourage a thirst for Science with extra-curricular activities such as the Salter's Chemistry Challenge, Warwick Christmas Lectures and the Big Bang Fair.
At Key stage 4 we follow the GCSE AQA pathways with over half our students pursuing the triple science route, the remaining students follow the Trilogy Double Science award with a small group take the Entry Level Science Certificate.
At Key Stage 5 we teach the globally acclaimed International Baccalaureate- an academic qualification known as the Gold Standard of Education. We believe this develops students who are independent thinkers and well-rounded individuals. Our students achieve consistently outstanding results. Previous experience of teaching the International Baccalaureate is not expected and training is provided, although previous A-Level Physics experience would be beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an amazing team in this successful and happy school. If you enjoy teaching all abilities of students who want to learn, then our school is the right school for you.
