The successful candidate will project their passion for science in all that they do; and will inspire students to reach the highest standards both inside the classroom and through enrichment opportunities. The science department is well resourced. The team consists of twelve teaching staff, five technicians and two dedicated learning support assistants. Rawlins is a popular, oversubscribed 11-18 academy. This appointment is crucial in our drive to ensure that all students make good progress in science from year 7 to year 13 and that Rawlins becomes an outstanding academy by 2018.

This school has existed for over 300 years, and despite the many educational changes that have taken place over this time, at the heart of Rawlins is its desire for the pupils to aspire to achieve.
