We are looking for an outstanding, organised and innovative teacher to join and lead a dedicated and successful Science department. NQTs are very welcome to apply as the Academy have a superb system of support to offer. The department achieves outstanding results, and in 2015 and 2016 it was ranked in the top percentile in terms of value added nationally. The Science department prides itself on its unique partnerships with Imperial College London and The Royal Society of Medicine which provide exciting opportunities for our students to enrich their learning. At KS3, the Academy is developing the use of technology in the classroom through using Chromebooks. Our KS4 cohorts have benefitted from our forward-thinking and collaborative approach towards adapting to the new GCSE curriculum which has been recognised by exam boards. At KS5, the Academy is proud to be an IB school. We offer IB Biology, Chemistry, Physics and ESS as part of the IB Diploma Programme, while we also offer BTEC Applied Science as part of the IB Career-related Programme.
