Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Science to join an exciting, dynamic and successful department. The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher with a strong Biology background. 

Student attainment is good within the Science GCSE courses and there is a substantial cohort of students taking the Triple Science course and making great progress within Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Science also has a successful post-16 uptake, with A Level courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Science, Psychology and Health and Social Care. 

The person we are seeking will be:

  • passionate about Science and have the desire to share that passion with students
  • an innovative and inspiring classroom teacher
  • able to work collaboratively in a large and diverse team
  • reflective and eager to develop their teaching skills.

Little Heath School is a highly successful comprehensive school (1650 on roll, including 380 in the Sixth Form) situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting to the west of Reading, with good access to road and rail links.
