Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. Kingsway Park High School are looking to appoint a new or experienced teacher of KS3 and 4 Science who is looking for a new challenge and is willing to join an exciting, and forward-thinking team. The science department has vastly developed over the past 5 years under effective leadership, it contains many outstanding practitioners to share best practice and it prides itself in continuous improvement for all.
The successful candidate needs to have a real passion for their subject and to be up to date with best practice and raising outcomes in science. The ideal candidate would be willing to help raise the profile for science whole school. The science department at Kingsway Park High School is a supportive department that is well resourced with 2 science technicians, 8 laboratories and 1 classroom. There is a work area for staff within the department so the team can work cohesively to support less experienced members of the team and to share excellent practice.
What you’ll need to succeed
Applications are welcomed from colleagues with relevant experience of teaching (or training to teach) science at KS3 and 4, and a real passion for their subject.
It is extremely important that all staff members have high expectations of themselves and the students they teach and share our ethos that every student is valued. We want staff to be the very best that they could be.
