The Opportunity
Downe House Riyadh opened in September 2022 and is the first British private all-girls’ school (Boys Pre-School-Year 4) for 3-18 year olds to establish in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The opening of a new school is always an incredibly exciting time. Downe House Riyadh provides a world class curriculum in partnership with an authentic girls-only private school from the UK. With over a century of experience, Downe House is one of the UK’s most celebrated all-girls’ schools. It consistently ranks amongst the country’s top five schools of its kind.
The successful candidate will be able to make a significant contribution in helping establish the Science Department for Downe House Riyadh. This is an exceptional and rare opportunity for someone who has the qualities, skills and experience to be part of the team that will establish Downe House Riyadh as the leading girls school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The School
Located towards the north of Riyadh in the prominent neighbourhood of Aqeeq, Downe House Riyadh will offer a British curriculum based on the tradition and expertise of Downe House UK. The curriculum will be sensitively adapted for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring girls will excel in Arabic language and Islamic Studies, alongside other subjects. Downe House Riyadh is currently accepting admissions from Nursery to Year 12 (ages 2 to 17).
The Person

The Structure of Downe House Riyadh will be:
Pre-Prep: Nursery to Year 2 (2-7 years of age)
Prep: Year 3 to Year 8 (7-13 years of age)
Senior: Year 9 to 13 (13-18 years of age)
Boys as well as girls will be admitted from Pre-School to Year 4.
Downe House Riyadh has a state-of-the-art campus housing some of the finest school facilities in Saudi Arabia. These include dedicated libraries, central atriums, Science Labs, Art and Design Labs, a 450-seat theatre, music, dance and drama studios, classrooms and practice rooms, IT labs, and indoor senior and learner swimming pools.
