Teacher of Science
Required for September 2018, a conscientious teacher of Science, with the ability to teach physics to KS4, to join an ambitious Science & Engineering Department.
A dedicated classroom teacher, you will contribute to the department’s development, being passionate about giving our students the best classroom experiences to enhance their learning.
This post is suitable for new entrants to the profession as well as more experienced teachers. We have an excellent NQT induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff.
Shenfield High School achieved a “GOOD” rating in its Ofsted inspection in November 2014. We are a co-educational 11-18 academy school with a commitment to high standards, a holistic approach, student wellbeing and learning for life. We expect all staff to share this philosophy. About Shenfield High School
Shenfield High School is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-18 secondary school located in Brentwood, Essex. At its most recent inspection there were 1,145 students aged 11-18 on the school roll, 350 of whom studied in the sixth form. The area of Shenfield has a population of 5,500 and is serviced by a station on the Liverpool Street Line, which will be the final stop on the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.
Shenfield High School was opened in 1962 and converted to academy status in 2012.
The school is underpinned by its philosophy of "Learning for Life" and promotes Learning, Respoect, Responsibility, Security, community & Success as its key values.
