Teacher of Spanish & French
Required for January 2019 - fixed term until August 2020
We are looking for an inspiring individual to teach Spanish and French to our highly motivated students. You should be a good Honours graduate, with a love of languages and be able to teach Spanish to Higher Level in the Sixth Form and French to GCSE. There is also the opportunity of an additional responsibility within the Subject Team for a candidate with suitable experience.
Languages enjoy a central place within our internationally minded curriculum. All students study Spanish and French in Years 7 – 9 alongside Latin. They continue with at least one language to GCSE and as part of the IB Diploma in the Sixth Form. Students in Years 7–11 and in our co-ed sixth form become increasingly independent learners as they progress through the School and achieve excellent outcomes at GCSE and in the internationally recognised IB Diploma. Experience of teaching the IB is not essential. Training will be offered as required.
The School offers an extensive professional development programme for all staff supporting; induction, leadership development and well-being.

About Tonbridge Grammar School
We are a high achieving selective grammar school with academy status, educating girls between the ages of 11 to 16 and girls and boys in the Sixth Form. The School prepares students for GCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme following the Middle Years Programme in Years 7-9. Our students are encouraged to take part in an extensive range of extracurricular activities.
