Queensferry Community High School is a non-denominational secondary school built in 1969, which serves the area of north west Edinburgh. It draws most of its students from Dalmeny, Echline, Kirkliston and Queensferry primary schools.

The school is firmly committed to raising attainment and promoting achievement. This is a whole school priority in improvement planning and reflects local, CEC and national priorities.

The school building includes bright and well maintained rooms. All departments are suited with integral staff bases and are generally well resourced and equipped. The school grounds are surrounded by car parks and playing fields. There is a security perimeter fence and close circuit television (CCTV) cameras are in operation. A vacancy has arisen for a full-time permanent Teacher of Support for Learning to take up post from August 2020.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
